Lisa's necessities

God provides. Indeed.

Slowly and surely, we are building up Lisa's list of required items to welcome her arrival.

We got a second-hand BabyCraft cot cum playpen for S$50 from my colleague and also borrowed an infant car seat from Adrian. My mum's friend, Anne's sis also loaned her a baby cot to put at her place. We later managed to get a mattress from Kiddy Palace for the baby cot and a cute pink bedsheet for the princess too!

Sugar Mummy

Heard of Sugar-daddies? Well, in quite a different way, I am a sugar-mummy!

Been diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 29 weeks after taking the oral glucose tolerance test. Gynae is concerned that Lisa may get too big for delivery and may also get diabetes later in life.
So I have been put on a very strict 1800 kcal diet, sent to a dietician and had to take a pin-prick test 6 times a day to test my blood sugar levels. sigh. I can imagine all the new year goodies and chocolates vanishing before me!

Thank God that my sugar levels were controlled by diet and I did not have to go on insulin (which would have been an extra burden). Anyway, it is ANYTHING for my baby Lisa! 7 weeks to go! Yea!
