Day Zero (28th Mar Friday)
In hospital
Day One (29th Mar Sat)
In hospital
Day Two (30th Mar Sun)
In hospital
Day Three (31st Mar Mon)
Discharged from hospital with a problem- Confinement nanny not here yet...sweat!
Simon and myself tried to take care of Lisa. She was seemingly alright throughout the afternoon but when night fall came...she fretted and cried and woke up every 45-50 min! We really had a handful, not knowing what to do with her! On top of it, I was of very little help as I my stitches still hurt.
Day Four (1st April Tues)
woke up in exhaustion. Lisa seemed to be sleeping...so all is fine. Eric, Joyce and family visited. Simon could catch a quick nap while Eric and Joyce carried Lisa.
2.00pm- Nanny arrived. PHEW! What a relief! She put the place in order although we had to buy lots of stuff which we did not stock.
Day Five (2nd April Wed)
Finally settling down to a reasonable routine. Baby refused to be breast-fed and milk-flow coming too slowly. Problem...
Day Six (3rd April Thurs)
First time out of the flat again since discharge from hospital as Lisa went to see baby doctor and mummy went to see mummy's doctor.
Day Seven (4th April Fri)
Lisa has been born for a week! Wow! We give thanks to God for seeing us through the first week. Mummy went to see lactation nurse to help Lisa to breast-feed better.
Day Eight (5th April Sat)
Lisa breast-fed! Yay!
Day Nine (6th April Sun)
Lisa went for first service at Wesley! We brought Lisa along with us together with confinement nanny! What a sight! But it was a good time of some outdoor activity. Praise the Lord!

press on! it (breastfeeding) is tough initially, and the initial period is often wrought with confusion... but whatever it is, just keep latching Lisa on as much as u can to stimulate the supply for the 1st 2-3 weeks.. your body'll adjust to Lisa's needs.. that's the wonder of mommy and babe and that's how God designed u as mommy with Lisa as the baby... no other mom, however many children they've had, can ever tell u what Lisa needs... only Lisa can tell u that... press on! this is one beautiful aspect of motherhood that I'm always in awe of.. it's a testimony of God's creative power at work. =)
